Family Design Of Modeling Gene Research Based On Case Analysis Of The Front Face Of The Car

With the rapid development of the automotive industry, there are many independent brands of major domestic and foreign automakers which apply the family design to a growing number of automotive exterior design. As Beijing Automobile Co.Lt d.’s own brand, BAIC MOTOR is in the infancy stage. In this paper, the modeling gene family of the front face of the foreign depot’s models, such as VW、AUDI、JEEP、BMW, are summarized and analyzed by visual perception principles and product semantics. The result which used by these automakers to built their SUV will be the design reference for the research and development of new automobile of BAIC,and design exploration for the front face of next generation of BAIC Automotive SUV.
