Human builds environment and the environment builds their mind. The public space in campus is an environmental core in campus of high school. A successful public space in campus should be vitality and can draw on the person keeping them there, and satisfy the people in campus as humanized space.New situation brings new problem. As designers, we must realize our social duty, paying attention to the social development, and examining closely people's behavior and mental states for making design met people's need better. That is to say, design the public space of college campus according to humanization design principle.This thesis is based on concepts of humanism, from human's point of view, starting from basic concepts of humanity to analyze the university students's nature need in campus through study on action patterns of university students in public space. Along the directions of sociology and environmental psychology, using methods of investigating, analyzing and comparison, the author studied the typical problem or not yet cause enough attention problem which caused by the development of local high schools and the changes of society in current, then gave the suggestions.For the more, the humanity design method of was given in a specific way about the exterior space, the interior space and the space between which of campus buildings.The thesis is linked up with direction of theories in the fields of sociology, culturology of humanism and environmental psychology, inspired by studies on human behaviors and need. It further set forth that in campus design, we need to seriously take into account characters of human behavior and psychology, introduce caring for people into every stage and detail of the design and only this can we achieve a city plaza environment full of human kindness.
