Teaching is the founding of nation-building. This sentence in the "Book LiXue’ refers that constructing the nation and administering public affairs, education is a top priority and the most important thing. The building and development of Un-iversity campus which is the Garden of higher education should be taken more at-tention. In recent years, with the large-scale enrollment of our universities, higher ed-ucation ushered in a stage of vigorous development.After Chinese University carried out social reform of the logistics managementin1998, the operation of the commercial market appeared and various kinds ofbusiness gradually penetrated into the university campus. Commercial space on ca-mpus got rid of the tedious state and increasingly got to be varied and numerousfrome content to form, showing the new features. Currently the consumer attitudes,behavior and psychology of college students have changed greatly, so the old com-mercial space and environment can no longer met diversity and complexity of theconsumer demand. The construction of commercial space, as well as improvement isimminent. Studying planning strategies and environmental design of college comm-ercial space can provide theoretical guidance and basis for the construction of C-hinese Universities.Commercial space environment in the university campus is the object of my stud-y. Field tripsand and questionnaire survey of commercial space in the universitycampus of Xi’an and Hangzhou achieve two goals: firstly, comprehensively collectfirst-hand information of student’s consumption psychology, behavior characterist-ics, structure and the type of consumer behavior;secondly, learn more about variousaspects about condition of the commercial space in college campus. At the same ti-me, the paper widely collect theoretical knowledge of the commercial space desig-n, campus planning and external space design. Clear guiding significance of socio-logy, economics, psychology, environmental studies and other related disciplines abo-ut this paper. Combine place theory, external space design theory with psychology theories. Analyze and summarize problems about format category of commercialspace, layout, space shape and environmental facilities, and thus propose rationalstrategies and recommendations about layout and environmental design on the camp-us.
