And every village is essence of wisdom of a small number of people.The penman has been researched the ancient villages in Huizhou, and attracted by the blue bricks and dark green tiles. Some questions exert tremendous fascination on me. How do those ancient villages come into being? How does its solid space grow into what it is now? What are the dominating factors in the development and transformation of solid space? What is the relationship among the star-studded villages in Huizhou? Whether the ancient villages will grow into towns?With those questions in my head, I went to Shexian and Yixian for many times. In this chapter, the penman introduces the historical and cultural source of Huizhou and describes the stable pattern of "six contury seats in a Trenton" of Huizhou. Finally, the penman introduces the impression of the ancient villages in Huizhou.Chapter three is about the solid space form of the ancient villages in Huizhou. For the solid space form of the ancient villages has different characteristics in distinct levels, the penman sets off eight levels from macroscopic to microcosmic, which are whole form, centre and edge, block and neighborhood, cell and yard, entry space, ancestral temple system, road system and water system. In this chapter, the penman uses "space study method"Chapter four is about the development transformation and dominating factors of the solid space form of the ancient villages in Huizhou. In this chapter, the penman studies the four develop stages of the ancient villages which are settle down stage, develop stage, boom stage and decline stage with "time study method". And finally analyses the development and transformation laws. The foundation of this chapter is the studies of three ancient villages that are called Xidi Hongcun and Guanlu.Chapter five is learning from ancient villages, which bases on the conclusions of the Chapter three and four.
