The comprehensive scheme of energy-saving and emission reduction of “12thFive-year-plan”, Indicates that Chinese industry will face higher standard and greaterpressure in energy saving within the next five years. And the energy-intensiveindustries will be the important object of energy-saving and emission reduction. Thehigh energy consumption industries mostly use high-power rectifying device, whichproduce a large number of harmonics and inject them into the grid, and consume largeamounts of electrical energy. However, the existing energy meters can’t measureaccurately, and can not provide the substantive evidence for punishing those user whoproduce harmonics. Aiming for those existed problems, this paper has researched fouraspects as follow.In this paper, common high-power rectifier power supply and its majorcomponents were Introduced, equivalent circuit of rectifier transformer was analyzed,technology of inductive filtering was researched and the equivalent circuit oftransformer which was based on the technology was deduce. Then the author researchthe merits of a new high power rectifier systems based on the technology.In this paper, characteristics of there common energy meters were analyzed,power-direction of harmonic was studied in-depth and its relevant characteristics weresummarized. On the basis of those characteristics, the influences of existed threemeasurement methods were discussed, and the measurement methods of fundamentalstandard were pointed out that be more reasonable. Then, an initial program ofimproved metering and punishment of the harmonic source in the user’s wereproposed based on fundamental measurement standards.The equivalent circuit of the new power rectifier system have been established,and the energy consumption of the various components of the system have beenanalyzed in this circuit. The mechanism of energy-saving have been explained by thevisual angle of the harmonic power. Model of the new power rectifier system wasestablished through Matlab/Simulink simulation software, and the two conditions ofcast-cut filter have been simulated. Simulation results showed that the system has agood performance in suppressing harmonic and reactive power compensation andenergy-saving.The data measured by the new power rectifier system, which confirmed that the new system have outstanding advantages on improving the efficiency and the powerfactor and rectifier transformer efficiency, reducing total energy consumption andharmonic.
