Some companies for the research of the lithium battery monitoring system indomestic is still not perfect.We according to electric car lithium battery safetyaccident frequency phenomenon. Research and development of lithium batterymanagement system.This paper puts forward a research program based on embedded monitoringsystem, and completes the real-time data acquisition, storage, display conditionmonitoring,etc of the lithium battery parameters,and also provides the safeguardfor lithium batteries in the electric cars in safe driving and maintenance.Thesystem uses the dual machine communication mode, a console computer toSTC12C5A60S2as the core acquisition controller, based on the Hall electriccurrent sensor TBC-DS series and temperature sensor DS18b20, through ourvoltage acquisition circuit, and then constituts the acquisition system of consolecomputer. And then establishs a CAN bus controller module, and forms a singlechip of the microcomputer minimum system. The real-time data acquisition oftemperature, current, voltage parameters of the lithium battery, real-time send-ing the collected parameters of lithium battery through the CAN bus to the hoet-computer software. PC is samsung’s S3C2440as the core processor, usingmodular thought, to design the data storage module and CAN bus driver mod-ules, the use of the virtual machine to set up operating system platform technol-ogy on Linux, constructing hardware and software of the total structure of thesystem. And the system designs a friendly graphical user interface using Qt lan-guage, and displays the parameters obtained from the real-time to the touchscreen through the VGA interface. the parameters that is received by CANdriver, and analised by the processor.At the same time, this system will achieve the low cost on developments,high reliability, simple hardware structure, short target on the development cy- cle, this system also has a certain commonality, so that it can to nickel cadmiumrechargeable batteries, the nimh batteries, lead-acid battery monitor, etc.
