In the area of the bridge structures, low tower cable-stayed bridge now is still arelatively new form of bridge structure, and its structure has unique characteristics,and it has strong competitiveness in the field of medium-span bridge construction. Inrecent years, the low tower cable-stayed bridges have rapidly developed, and thepeople at home and abroad have studied it deeply and the research has been used inthe actual projects. The low tower cable-stayed bridges don’t use the floating systemwhich is used in ordinary cable-stayed bridges, but the consolidation and bridgesupport system applied the dwarf tower cable-stayed structure system which is oftenused in other bridges. The characteristics of this bridge is the same with the rigidframe bridges, but its stiffness of the bridge is much larger than the cable-stayedbridge. The vibration characteristics of the bridge is different from the rigid framebridges and the cable-stayed bridges.The engineering examples used in this paper is an asymmetric structure of thelow tower cable-stayed bridge, using the response spectrum and time history analysismethod extradossed bridges frequency earthquake under the action of seismicresponse characteristics, and comparing the spectrum method and time historyanalysis method calculation results, and studing the foundation stiffness on theseismic response of the full-bridge. In this paper, the shear behavior of the piers andthe bridge tower was also be checked. Low tower cable-stayed bridge seismicresponse calculated with MIDAS establish the finite element model, and getting someconclusions; and using ATC-32, Caltrans and Priesdey formula analysis the bridge’sshear performance.By studing the Jinbao Bridge earthquake response and the calculation of theshear capacity analysis can know this bridge eccentric fully meet the seismicrequirements, can reach the relevant provisions of the vertical and horizontal seismicload frequency earthquake not destruction, can safe use; and the Jinbao Bridge piershear performance fortification standards to meet the design requirements.
