As a new bridge structure form,Partial cable-stayed bridge has a wide range of application because of its beatiful landscape and easy construction. As Partial cable-stayed bridge is a semi-flexible structure between beam bridge and cable-stayed bridge, its dynamic characteristics and seismic response are different from the above two bridge. However, the study on its dynamic characteristics and seismic response of partial cable-stayed bridge is less. Therefore, the work made in this paper has great significance.Based on Liaodong bay bridge in Panjin, this paper builded up the finite element model for partial cable-stayed bridge with finite element analysis software and analyzed its dynamic feartures. Then, earthquake response were studied by using response spectrum method and time history analysis method considering the nonlinear mechanical property of rubber buffered block. On the base of the above research, the paper studied the bearings arrangement on the cross of bridge, energy dissipation of frictional force at movable supports, as well as sliding friction coefficient’s influence on energy consumption.By the calculation and analysis above, the natural vibration characteristics of the supporting system of cable-stayed bridge is obtained, method of correct simulation of the rubber buffered block is found, the reasonable layout of a one-way activity bearing is ensured. At the same time,we can not only obtain impact of sliding friction coefficient on internal forces and displacement of bottom piers, but also discover the change law of internal forces and displacement along with sliding friction coefficient.lt wound provide a reference for seismic design and calculation of partial cable-stayed bridge.
