Temperature is one of the most important thermal parameters. In the process ofindustrial production, accurate control and set the temperature values of industry site isvery necessary for keeping production running smoothly, ensuring product quality andproduction site safety. In the last few years, with the progress in optical fiber sensingtechnology, optical fiber radiation temperature measurement technology in the field of hightemperature measurement develops rapidly. A kind of dual wavelength fiber optic hightemperature measuring system which can realize the measurement data wirelesstransmission based on ARM is studied in this paper, aiming at high temperature test in themetallurgical industry site. It can effectively inhibit the adverse effects from thesurroundings and work in long time under bad situation, and has high measurementprecision. Depending on this, the system is able to adapt to the complex environment of themetallurgical industry field well, and ensure the temperature measurement and controlduring the hot processing of metal.Latest progress and research status of fiber radiation temperature measurementtechnology is summarized first, and then the basic principle of colorimetric temperaturemeasurement is introduced. Secondly, the optical fiber colorimetric temperaturemeasurement system is designed from three parts: optical part, signal detection andprocessing part and wireless data transmission part, for each part, the structure, workingprinciple and characteristics are described in detail. ARM processor is adopted in thedesign as the core of the signal processing system to realize photo-electric conversion andsignal processing of the radiant energy that collected. The hardware circuit and softwareprogram of the system is finished by means of AD6and ADS, among them, the hardwarecircuit includes amplifying circuit, A/D conversion circuit, LCD display, over-temperaturealarm and wireless data transmission module; the software part consists of data acquisition,signal conditioning display program and the wireless data transmission module control.Through the design as previously mentioned, photo-electric conversion to the radiation signal, programmable gain amplify to weak signal, the conversion between ratio andtemperature, temperature display and wireless data transmission are realized. Finally,debug each part of the system and test the whole system. The results of the experimentsshow that, the system can perform temperature signal acquisition, display, wirelesstransmission, and obtain the prospective result basically.
