Temperature, as an important thermal parameter, concerns security producing and quality of production. In many important fields temperature need be monitored and controlled. Infrared thermometer technology has many advantages, such as a wide temperature range, fast response, high accuracy and non-contact non-destructive etc. It is preferred in some special environment.Based on Planck's law, a novel infrared thermometer was studied and designed. Based on the module of wireless data transmission to achieve data transmission between PC and the thermometer. With C++ Builder integration platform, an interface management software to achieve real-time display of temperature and data storage and the historical data query. The system provided reference for a similar measurement of thermal parameters.Some key technologies are researched and a novel infrared thermometer with wireless data transmission function is designed. The paper reads as follows:Firstly, several key technologies put forward laid the groundwork for design of whole system.Secondly, module of temperature measurement is studied. The module included choosing sensor;design of optical structure and circuits of processing of signal etc.Thirdly, based on PTR8000 wireless data transmission function is implemented, which extended the function of thermometer.Lastly, based on MSP430F149 the corresponding software or programs were programmed and debugged. A large number of experiments were done, which verified its feasibility and reliability of the system. At the same times, some parameters and other technical indicators were given. To discuss some issues which should be considered in the circuit and PCB design from the increasingly system reliability.
