With the rapid development of domestic water conservancy, water engineering automation level, pumping station computer monitoring system is widely used. The computer monitoring system is combined with monitoring, measurement, control, protection, management and other functions. In this topic, we design and develop the integrated automatic monitoring system of Xuzhou polysilicon pumping station.The automatic monitoring system uses the techniques of industrial control computer, programmable logic controller, industrial automation configuration, power electronics control, and network communication. This is the integrated automatic system which can monitor the status and parameters of the pump, and control the pump units. This system also has the emergency handling capabilities and intelligent control strategy.The paper firstly introduces the domestic and international situation of pump monitoring system and the development direction of the pump station. With the regarding of the needs of Xuzhou polysilicon pump station, we determine the functional indicators and the design of the remote monitoring system of the pumping station. The monitoring system uses a hierarchical design. The system is divided into three levels as follows:the field control layer, central data processing layer, remote supervisory control layer.Field control layer uses the PLC, pressure sensors, flow sensors, water level sensors and other devices to acquire the real-time data of pressure, flow, water level and other parameters. PLC reads the temperature data from the device of temperature-monitoring with using the protocol of MODBUS. By the way, the plc can realize the function of centralized management of the unit temperature. Field control layer sends the data of pump statues, as well as information collected by various sensors, to the remote supervisory control layer by using an Ethernet communication device. Field control layer can also receive control commands issued by the remote supervisory control layer.Center data processing layer is the core of the entire PC monitoring system, the major equipment of layer is SCADA server and SQL server database server. SCADA server receives the data from field control layer and then stores the data into the SQL server database. SCADA server and SCADA client of remote supervisory control layer are composed of C/S structure. In the monitoring center, operators can use the client PC to achieve the purpose of status monitoring of pump, the system alarm processing, real-time graph, the trend map browsing, real-time report management, historical reports querying, and others.Within the problems of the system in the actual operation, as well as the actual needs of the system, we design a control strategy which is based on the water level of the pool in the pumping station. The strategy of using the fuzzy algorithm, the PID algorithm achieves the optimized adjustment of the pump.It not only improves the safety of the pumping station but also greatly improves the operating efficiency of the pumping unit.
