Drainage pumping stations in our city are numerous and widespread. Since most of them are manually handled, which causes inefficiency and insecurity, they can no longer meet the requirement of urban development. With more required of pumping station management, informatization and scientization are urgently necessary. Due to technical transformation, pumping station’s automation has developed compared with years before. However, problems and shortcomings bud in such development; there is always room to improve manipulation of field apparatus, remote control and monitoring solution, automatic monitored control system, etc.First, by analyzing the condition before centralized monitoring, feasibility analysis of Automatic monitored control system for drainage pumping station is finished in terms of project background, demand analysis, project site selection, pilot project design, organization and implementation and techniques and environmental benefits.Secondly, elementary knowledge of project management is demonstrated involved in Automatic monitored control system. Applications ofconstruction plan, control management and communication management are described in the implementation process of Automatic monitored control system. Analysis the feasibility of system project in the practical application and the social, economic and environmental benefits.Last, by comparing with the status without Automatic monitored control system,the project is post‐evaluated from the aspects of operations management, engineering level, trial operation period, social and environmental benefits.
