Building reservoirs is one of effective measures to change the unevenly distributed of water resources, but it breaks the balance of sediment, which make the silting up in the reservoir. This article aims at the sediment problem in sandy river reservoir, to resolve the conflict of flood control, impounding and sedimentation reduction. At first, analysis on the river characteristics of water and sediment. Study the impacting mechanism of sediment and put forward factors influencing sediment. Forecast the sediment based on decision tree; Analysis the scheduling measured data in history. Simulat the relationship of water and sediment by the BP neural network. Modeling the water-sediment relationship. On this basis, study the influence of different scheduling to sediment. According to the characteristics reservoir management and operation in sandy river, make multi-objective optimum from flood control, impounding and sedimentation reduction. Make Naodehai reservoir as an engineering background. The following is the main research contents(1)study the characteristics of underlying surface and rainfall, contrast the Geological landform characteristics of different sub-basin. Statistics the average sediment concentration for many years according to historical data. Summarize the characteristics of sub-basin. Put forward the relationship of distribution of time and space and basin sediment; find the determining factor to sediment discharge at last. Make the Raining conditions and characteristics of underlying surface as Characterization of factor of sediment discharge. Simulate the level of sediment discharge using decision tree.(2) Simulate the water-sediment relationship using based on neural network, on the basis of deeply study on the flood according to control of Naodehai reservoir, summarize and analysis the response relationship of water-sediment. Put award influencing factor to the sediment. Make the outflow as major factor to sediment concentration. Thinking about on operating water level and the level of sediment. Using the BP neural network to simulate the relationship of outflow and sediment accurately.(3)Study on sand-flushing scheme. Using the simulative Discharge process on the different operation rules and "BP neural network water-sediment model" to calculate sediment on the different operation rules, analysis the relationship of water service and sand-flushing on different scheduling mode. Considering the forecast of sediment at last, optimize the scheduling mode. Harmonize the contradiction of water service and sand-flushing.Summarize Main research contents and achievements of this article. make a discussion on problem which Need a further study...
