As a famous brand in China, Kunlun Lubricating Oil for Vessels has occupied a certain shares in the domestic market of lubricating oil for vessels, and the vessels served keep increasing. The usage standard is an integral part of the after-sale service system and quality system of Kunlun Lubricating Oil for Vessels. On one hand, it could perfect the entire system of Kunlun Lubricating Oil for Vessels, hence, could make up the existing defects and deficiencies, and hence to improve the reputation and competitiveness of Kunlun Lubricating Oil for Vessels; on the other hand, it could provide a strong and powerful support to the after-sale service of Kunlun Lubricating Oil for Vessels, meanwhile, it could facilitate the sales of lubricating oil for vessels. However, there is not a recognized international standard or national standard for the usage standard of Kunlun Lubricating Oil for Vessels, so it’s urgent to conduct research on the usage standard of Kunlun Lubricating Oil for Vessels, and so as to provide a basis for the use of Kunlun Lubricating Oil for Vessels. The DCB4030and DCC4008Kunlun Lubricating Oil for Vessels are taken as research objects in the paper by referring to the usage standards and analysis methods from overseas lubricating oil for vessels, the usage standards for DCB4030and DCC4008lubricating oil for vessels are studied through friction-wear test and instance analysis, and applying the oil analysis technologies as spectrum, ferrography, grain count and conventional physical and chemical analysis, and the results show that:the compositions and quantity of wear elements in lubricating oil and the size and quantity of grains reflect the changes of the lubricating oil’s usability, the conventional physical and chemical indicators reflect the changes of the oil’s nature itself. Therefore, the oil analysis technology could analyze the usability of lubricating oil for vessels, and could be used in formulating the standards for lubricating oil for vessels. The warning values and limit values for indicators of conventional physical and chemical analysis and spectrum analysis to lubricating oil for vessels DCB4030and DCC4008are determined in the paper by referring to the overseas standards for lubricating oil for vessels and actual vessel analysis data. The research in the paper has a certain practical significance, and it could provide a basis for the application of lubricating oil for vessels.
