At present,the power system capacity expands inceasingly and ac/dc electric arc furnace,electrified railway and high-power electric power equipment such as power electronic devicesincrease sharply,which causes power grid voltage fluctuations, lack of reactive power and a seriesof problems threatened the safe and stable operation of power grid.The article carefully analyzed the basic structure and working principle of reactor, mainlyanalyzes the harmonic characteristic of TCR, compensation characteristics, main circuit topologystructure and the harmonic suppression method. The static reactive power compensator like TCR,also be able to suppress voltage fluctuation and balanced three-phase load with the compensationof reactive power load, has become the research hotspot in recent years.After analyzing the basic structure and working principle of all kinds of passive filter (LCfilter) in detail,the article in-depth studies some parameters influenced the filter performance,mainly studies the influence of the quality factor, cut-off frequency, the equivalent frequency,impedance characteristic and tune sharpness to single tuned, high-pass filter, and further study ofthe parameter design of the passive filter.The importance of this design is demonstrated by thepractical application.Because the parallel of inductive and capacitive element,which can make anyunbalanced system balance,the article improve the existing problems, and has carried on theimprovement and optimization, to achieve more accurate compensation effect. after studying thetraditional measurement method of reactive current.This paper designed a type of the static reactive power compensator based on DSP chip as thecore of the hardware.Results show that the device can effectively compensate reactive power,improve the three-phase imbalance degree and inhibition of power grid voltage fluctuations. Thefinal conclusion proved that this design has very high practical application value.
