Research On Low Cost Creative Landscape Architecture

Current landscape design in China is confronted with deficiency of creativity, environmental deterioration and lack of resources. Taking economy, function, aesthetics, eco-efficiency into consideration in all dimensions, and the concept of sustainable development of man and nature has become the mainsuream value. This article introduces the idea of creative landscape at low cost to meet the demands of our times, from the view of which the theoretical research and strategic system are formed.With actual cases, the author explains the definition of creative landscape and presents the concept that the site situation should be taken into account for the current development to meet the demands of functions and aesthetics, fit the regional characteristics and assort with the eco-system. According to the analysis and comparison of related theories, the author stretches the connotation of landscape design, summarizes the paradoxical relationships between creative landscape and cost for control in order to provide the theoretical basis and logical basis to achieve the creative landscape at low cost. The author also suggests that eco-thought ought to be used as the resource of creativity. On the basis of analyzing the factor that influences the landscape cost and the main factor, we need to try to build an apportionment model including idea, schematic design and the implementation of construction, maintenance and management to discover and realize the creative landscape with actual cases.
