This research project of "Research and Design on the Key Equipment of Weatherability Test for Photovoltaic-cable" originates from the2010Combined Industry-Academy-Research Project of Education Ministry and Guangdong Province. The project includes exploring a composite weatherability test method for photovoltaic-cable and designing a multi-functional artificial weathering accelerated aging test chamber for the method.Referring to the related areas of artificial weathering accelerated aging test methods and standards, combined with the actual situation of China’s photovoltaic-cable industry, an assumption of composite weatherability test method for photovoltaic-cable has been proposed. In this method,10samples ware cut out from a photovoltaic-cable, and randomly divided into2separate groups of A and B. Group A served as the experimental group and went through the damp-heat test, Ozone resistance test and UV resistance test. By contrast, Group B was stored as a comparison group in an ordinary environment. And finally, the two gropes ware compared with their performance and indicators to evaluate the quality of the photovoltaic-cable products. This test method can simulate the photovoltaic-cable natural aging process better, and improve the test efficiency.The proposed design of the multi-functional artificial weathering accelerated aging test chamber is introduced to optimize the design of the key components in mechanical structure, control system hardware design as well as software programming. The chamber is able to create a hot and humid environment, ozone environment and ultraviolet radiation environment, thus to cope with the corresponding artificial weathering accelerated aging test. With its remarkable compatibility and versatility, the weathering device can be widely adopted in weathering accelerated aging test on cables as well as similar materials, which also provides references for similar technical applications.Five following problems are solved in this thesis:(1) The composite photovoltaic-cable weatherability test method is more efficient than the pervasive testing methods, with more comprehensiveness for quality evaluation.(2) The multi-functional artificial weathering accelerated aging test chamber is able to perform multiple artificial weathering accelerated aging tests, such as damp-heat test, Ozone resistance test and UV resistance test, breaking the limitation of a test chamber being used for one single artificial weathering accelerated aging test in the past.(3) The multi-functional weathering test chamber uses PLC and HMI as the control system and the software programming initialization sets in menu, which greatly reduces the difficulty of system setting and improves the intelligence level of the chamber.(4) The chamber adjusts the environment by negative pressure air exchange, optimizes the structure design and a rotary specimen frame is introduced, which makes the test environment more uniform.(5) The innovative design of the sample holder makes it easier to operate.At present, the design of the multi-functional artificial weathering accelerated aging test chamber has won two patents for utility models in China, which provides a better condition for industrial popularization.
