This project was sponsored by National Natural Foundation of China for 863 Program, manufacturing technology of Wood/Bamboo composites. This paper focused on a kind of flooring panel used in city bus, which was manufactured in Dongsen Science & Technology Ltd. Co, Linyungang. Because of the complex condition in the city bus running, it is necessary to evaluate and analysis the application properties and the periods of this new products. This paper had two parts: First, according to ASTM D 1037 accelerated aging method which was used widely in the field of wood-based products, we evaluated the dimensions stability, the aging-resistance of water, the aging-resistance of bending performance of this panel, and appearance change in each accelerated-aging cycling. Detailed compared analysis of control panels and panels after accelerated-aging was included in this paper. Second, simulated loading with actual vehicle-desk was included which contained 450,000 times torsion, 500,000 times bending experiments, and 3,000 kilometers reliable road surface experiments, also compared with non-loading panels. The aim was to evaluate the actual application performance and give help for the quality improvement. After ASTM D 1037 6-cycle accelerated aging, and 48-hours equilibrium, the performances showed well. The 24-hours water absorption was 8.39%, the thickness swelling was 5.11%, the thickness swelling after 24-hours water absorption was2.83 %.The static bending properties were analyzed and calculated in the actual thickness and thickness before accelerated-aging. The results of two kinds of thickness were different greatly. The preserved values based-on thickness before accelerated-aging was above 85%, more than values on actual thickness (above 70%). The thickness affected results greatly. According to curve estimation method, the exponential regression results were better than logarithmic regression. In simulated loading with actual vehicle-desk, there were no delaminations and splits in the tested panels. Compared with control panels (not involved in simulated loading), the preserved values after 500,000 times bending were above 90%, and above 85% after 450,000 times torsion and 3,000 kilometers reliable road surface experiments. In general, the panels' properties can greatly satisfy requirements in city bus flooring panels, some aspects even longer than the vehicle-desk application longevity.
