With the social and economic development, raise the level of urban modernization traffic congestion, traffic safety, environmental pollution, energy shortages and other issues have become a common problem facing countries in the world. In order to improve the operation of urban public transport management level, in order to better provide quality services for the residents travel around the world, experts, scholars have proposed including the strengthening of public transport planning, the use of advanced transportation technologies, the use of modern management tools, etc, for public transportation systems construction.These means or by investment and other resource constraints, or subject to the limitations of short effective period, the development of public transport in the dark decades, with computer technology, communication technology, the rapid development of information technology, vehicle scheduling, personnel scheduling, dispatching timetable, etc. together with systems engineering perspective to think, and to advanced computer communications, control technology to the public transport system, it is naturally born intelligent transportation systems (ITS).Public transport intelligent building, is to improve the level of public transport services to attract the necessary means trips, is a modern city an important manifestation of the level of traffic management, but also improve the public transport share rate an important way. In this paper, the construction of intelligent transport plays a key role in GPS technology for the systematic exposition, through the GPS data of research, the vehicle is suitable Jinan bus travel time prediction model.By bus travel time prediction model research, travel time data preprocessing, the GPS data is successfully applied to practical operational work, the construction of Jinan city bus information distribution system. By bus travel time prediction methods and operational model of departure time intervals, put forward for the actual operation of Jinan transit bus departure time interval implementation methods, and ultimately resolved by the model validation method is feasible.
