With the acceleration of the construction of the urbanization, Buildings become higher and more intensive. The impact of the earthquake to the structure is becoming increasingly obvious, thereby affecting the process of human civilization.The earthquake disaster has characteristics of sudden, devastating scalea and with serious secondary disasters, In the case of human can not accurately predict earthquakes, how to protect the security of buildings under the earthquake becoming an important direction of the development of today’s construction techniques. Numerous facts have proven that under some unexpected earthquakethe,the method that increasing the resistance of the construction for earthquake by increasing the stiffness of the structure can not meet the requirements of human for life and property safety. In this context, emerging a range of construction techniques based on isolating and energy dissipating, and made some good effect.The main content of this paper is base isolation of structure isolating. Based on large-scale shaking table test of self-resetting metal sliding isolation bearing, analyzing and juxtaposing the response of Isolated structure and traditional seismic structure under the earthquake in the trial, supplemented by software analysis, demonstrating the the damping performance of metal slip isolation bearing. The results show that:1. For the size of the seismic forces as a research object. By analyzing the floor acceleration of solated structure and fixed supported structures under the earthquake,we discovered that earthquake response of solated structure is significantly less than the fixed supported structures,and unlike fixed supported structures,which the floor acceleration is steadily growing with the floors increasing,the floor acceleration of solated structure has no significant amplification. The whiplash effect of the structure is under good control.2. For the energy of the base spread to the upper structure as a research object. By analyzing the speed and excellent speed of the structure under the earthquake, the energy of the earthquake spread to the upper structure is already very small,which conforms the design viewpoint based on the energy of some developed country.It shows that metal sliding isolation bearing has a certain progressiveness and feasibility.3. For the displacement as a research object. By analyzing the the inter-story displacement of structure,the value of inter-story displacement of solated structure is obviously lower than fixed supported structure.The inter-story shear force also has different magnitude reduction. It guarantee the lateral stiffness, structural safety and comfort under the earthquake.4.For the own property of metal sliding isolation bearing as a research object. By analyzing the coefficient of friction of metal sliding isolation bearing,it shows that the coefficient of friction has some affect for isolation effect. With the increase of the coefficient of friction within a reasonable range, the floor peak acceleration of upper structure is increasing,the inter-story displacement is decreasing. It provide a theoretical basis for the majorization of metal sliding isolation bearing.
