In power system, the overhead high voltage transmission line is the main bridge toconnect power stations, converting stations, and users. It does not only withstand the internalpressure of the normal mechanical load and power load,but due to long-term exposure tothe natural environment, it also has to face outside factors such as grubby, lightning, wind,flood, subsidence and birds problem. So there is a great potential safety hazard. On-linemonitoring technology of the transmission line can overcome the shortcomings such as longcycle,slow response,and low reliability of artificial patrol, monitor the transmission lineonline,and under the premise of not changing the tower structure and existing lines,it canreduce the possibility of internal and external damage to the circuit, ensure safe and stableoperation of power grid.Based on the already formed on-line monitoring technology of the high voltagetransmission line at home and abroad, this article demonstrates the general principles of on-linemonitoring system for high voltage transmission line layout and puts forward usingPIC16F876A single-chip microcomputer as the core controller and chooses the temperaturesensor, the leakage current sensors, acceleration sensors and cameras with appropriatemeasure precision. Thus, it complets the overall structure design of the hardware andsoftware for the guide line temperature monitoring module, the salt density monitoringmodule, breeze monitoring module, the guide line waving monitor module and videomonitor module; The solar panels and lithium battery power supply scheme is adopted usingthe method of comparison.And by choosing,we are to use radio frequency technology torealize short-range wireless communications of the comprehensive monitoring terminal andbase station, and the GSM/GPRS wireless communications over long distances ofmonitoring host and base station.This design focuses on the design of the hardware circuit of the monitor system. Corresponding software design is also stated and conceived.Thispaper is using advanced technology to make the system have the characteristics of beingrapid, timely and accurate, and have the advantage of variety of functions. It can satisfy therequirements of the high voltage electric power line’s online monitoring.
