In recent years, with the rapid development of power system, the management of transmission line is particularly important, because our province transmission line far remote uninhabited mountain, walking road Xianyao, poor environment, lack of air, poor traffic, causing many various transmission line defects. Currently on the transmission line inspection is mainly by manual inspection methods, and possible inspection is not in place, the existence of a small patrol leakage inspection and safety risks and work efficiency low inferior.With the needs of the development of the construction of electric power system, the traditional manual inspection cannot satisfy now the needs of this stage of the work, we must take scientific and technological means to complete the transmission line on-line detection and real-time understanding of the transmission line work at the site of the latest developments, such as defects, and can prevent the advance.Based on the above background, this paper will based on the latest video processing technology, data communication technology, digital image processing technology, low power technology and networking technology was applied comprehensively, near the transmission line tower installation communication base stations, all kinds of sensors, digital camera to capture the scene each kind of phenomenon, the background system using Java technology, database technology, B / S architecture to build the software architecture of the system. Through the communication base station or a PDA device will collect the data collection based on GPS upload to monitoring of the power supply company processing center, power shipment inspection personnel in monitoring center and can be viewed by transmission line field.Through the collection and analysis of data and combining with image processing algorithm to identify the presence of faults and defects, so it can completely replace the traditional manual inspection, more effective, accurate and in time for the traditional power transmission line inspection difficult problem can be solved, also provides the decision-making for the transmission line operation and maintenance company.
