People require higher reliability of products which they used with the continuous improvement of design and manufacture of equipment. It also requires higher reliability of manufacturing equipment in the factory. Reliability assessment is the process to estimate the reliability index of product according to its structure, the life distribution model and other relevant reliability information within the whole life cycle of the product or equipment. It can obtain the information whether products or equipment meet the performance requirements in a specific period, so as to verify whether the reliability design of the product or equipment is reasonable, and it is an important part of reliability engineering. But the traditional reliability evaluation methods are based on a large number of failure life data, it is not suitable for high reliability products and a small amount of complex mechanical equipment which are put into used lately.This dissertation relies on’predictive maintenance of equipments’of Goodyear Dalian Tire Company Limited. In order to solve the problem of operating reliability assessment for a small amount or single mechanical equipment without failure data, as well as the disadvantages that current equipment maintenance decisions are mostly based on historical failure data, this paper mainly do the following work:1. With understanding of the disadvantages of traditional reliability assessment methods, this paper discusses the sudden failure and degradation failure mode of products, introduces the reliability assessment method based on performance degradation and commonly used method of reliability test. In terms of equipment reliability evaluation, it reveals the regulation of equipment failure and equipment reliability evaluation indexes.2. Operating reliability evaluation method of air compressor based on diagnostic information is proposed. First of all, this paper introduces the operation principle of screw air compressor and system. And then with the vibration monitoring of air compressor operating abnormally, the paper applies concept of linear reliability to judge operation status of air compressor preliminary. Then a wavelet packet energy decomposition of the bad vibration signal is used. Combined with spectrum to analyze device failure, normalized wavelet information entropy method is used to get the equipment reliability. It provides a new way of thinking for equipment operation reliability assessment. Finally detailed maintenance plan of (?) compressor is made.3. The relevant concepts of equipment maintenance are introduced and the existing RCM method is summarized. Aimed at the shortcomings of existing RCM method that depends on history failure data of equipment too much, it is proposed that equipment maintenance,ion based on condition monitoring and fault diagnosis, and equipment maintenance sion model which applied to a single device or equipment with a small amount of historical failure data is formulated. Finally, the maintenance decision of conveyor belt motor and speed reducer in final inspection workshop of an enterprise is used as a validation.
