As we know,the ship market has its period.when the ship is in great demand,the facilities such as the dry dock and slipway cannot be satisfy the order.Building ship in the ground is an important revolution to the building mode.Because it gets rid of the restrict of these facilities,besides it can subtracts the build period.But building ship in the ground will meet a challenge:ship launching.Usually the launching modes are divided into airbag launching and launching by barge or floating dock. Then the ship in large-tonnage often adopt the later one.During the launching,the barge or the floating dock will suffer many loads,such as the barge/floating dock itself weight,the launching ship weight,the ballast water weight and the buoyancy, these loads bring great challenge to the structure of the barge/floating dock, so it is necessary to research the distribution of stress and deformation during off-loading. Some typical taking load condition will be chosen when a floating dock takes a bulk freighter in launching, the FEM is adopted in calculation in order to get the stress and deformation condition of the floating dock during launching.The present paper mainly includes:(1) A floating dock named CUIHUASAN from COSCO shipyard in Guangzhou is chosen as object of study, then the finite element mode will be built. Fourteen typical taking load condition will be calculated according to the stowage calculation list,which is provided by the center of ship CAD in the Dalian university of technology in order to get the stress and deformation condition.(2) Owing some problems that the deck of the buoyancy tank suffer major local deformation happened in the former stage,some measures that many strengthened longitudinal plates are added are taken.besides we can know the influence brought by the strengthened plates on the structure stress and deformation.
