With the expanding scale of power system, system voltage fluctuation, reactive power surplus and shortage become one of the major problems affecting the quality of power supply. Combining FC+MCR type real-time dynamic reactive power compensation can stable busbar voltage and maximum keep the balance of reactive power, thus greatly improve the quality of system power supply.This paper first introduces the background and significance of the research. It also illustrates research status of reactive power compensation in power system at home and abroad.Then, it describes the basic structure and working principle of the magnetic valve type controlled saturated reactor. A mathematical model is established to analyze the working state and magnetic properties of the reactor. Then, a concrete analysis of the current way of substation voltage and reactive power integrated control was carried out. With analyzes of the conventional nine area chart control strategy,its unreasonable actions were point out.In the same time, it concludes the control strategy for FC+MCR dynamic reactive power compensation.The it analyzes the low voltage side voltage,reactive power and active power waveform of Chuangli transformer substation.According to actual substation operation data,a MATLAB model is established for substation load.In the mean time,it designs the reactive power compensation method based on FC+MCR mixed dynamic reactive power compensation.Then, through MATLAB simulation and prototype test.the effect of reactive power compensation based on FC+MCR reactive power compensation system is analyzed.Finally a background reactive monitoring power software is developed specifically for the characteristics of the dynamic reactive power compensation system. It also describes the communication and its protocols among the software,remote machines dispatching department.
