With the development of the economy and society, a large number of highway construction in our country, also produced a large number of slope engineering, and with the shortcomings of the traditional slope protection technology gradually emerging,, including poor durability and ecological effect, geocell protection of slope are widely used in slope engineering at present。This complex ecological slope protection assembles geocell and grass into a composite geocell-protection-system, with the advantages of simple construction, low maintenance cost and high ecological and economic benefits.However, overall shear downturn and local geocell destroyed occurred in the engineering practice, resulting in the failure of slope protection and economic losses. Therefore, it has great theoretical and practical significance to analyze the stability of geocell protection of slope.The combination of numerical simulation with theoretical studies is used as the methodology,this passage studied the stability of geocell protection of slope deeply, supported by a slope of an actual highway engineering.Firstly, Summed up the protection mechanism of geocell in the analysis of the geocell traits and protective characteristics, as well as slope failure type and failure mechanism analysis.Then, verified the applicability of the theory of strength reduction in the finite element analysis software by analyzing finite element theory and strength reduction theory. Established numerical analysis model of geocell protection of slope in ABAQUS based on the slope of an actual highway engineering. Through analyzing the calculation results of geocell protection of slope and unprotected slope of pure soil in the same condition, Summarize the enhancement law of geocell on slope stability in the case of rainfall infiltration, analyzed the stress distribution of geocell and provided some recommendations for the future construction projects. Finally, completed the simulation of geocell protection of slope with different elastic modulus. Summarize the influence law of stability of geocell protection of slope affected by elastic modulus of geocell material by analyzing the calculation results of simulations, which could improve the theory system of geocell slope protection and provide theoretical guidance for design and manufacture of geocell.
