There are more and more vehicles equipped with the army as the military revolution. Besides that, the vehicles use frequency become more and more high. Diesel engine using reliability is related to the normal operation of the vehicle, and also closely related to whether the transportation security task can be completed smoothly or not. So it is of immediate significance to increase the use reliability of diesel engine.The reliability of the use of military vehicle diesel is the research object of this subject, which searches service field data about EQB160-20diesel of a EQ1118G car. The subject studys the reliability of the use of diesel by the reliability parameters of diesel fault data such as distribution regulation, reliability index, failure life and analyses the effect of factors including operating conditions, driving conditions, operator and management level to the reliability of diesel. Besides that, it carries out the overall reliability analysis of the diesel using phase combining with fault data and provides improvement recommendations of the reliability of the use of diesel.According to the research of diesel fault data, the subject uses MATLAB to establish fault data distribution function and diesel fault distribution model and obtain, average first failure mileage and average interval failure mileage of The reliability index of the diesel. Besides that, it uses failure mode effects and criticality analysis(FEMCA) conducting failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and criticality analysis (CA) of diesel fuel supply system, and FMEA analyses the failure modes, the failure existing control measures of the diesel. Combining the analysis results of FMEA, the subject evaluates the condition of EQB160-20diesel comprehensively using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.Lastly, on the base of FMEA, the subject uses the diesel using fault data to do criticality analysis quantitatively and finds out potential weak links which affect the reliability of the use of diesel. Apart from that, it builds fault tree of the typical fault diesel "knock"、conducts qualitative and quantitative analysis and puts forward suggestions for improvement of the reliability of the diesel. Finally, the subject summarized the general method of fault diagnosis.
