With the development of transportation rapid-increasing, highway construction scale is gradual expansion and bridge construction have made rapid development, one of the characteristic is that there are many long-span bridges in the river, and sea. Because of its force and deformation are more complex in the long span orthotropic steel bridge deck, it requires the road pavement performance much higher. Using the normal asphalt is to be difficult to achieve the demandment, resulting in a series of pavement damages.Therefore, in order to meet the requirements of steel bridge deck pavement, we adopt epoxy resin to modify the asphalt, develop a thermosetting resin modified asphalt materials and research a self-develop epoxy asphalt and mixture.Firstly, considering on the epoxy asphalt pavement performance, construction and other performance, introduce the designment technical requirements of the epoxy asphalt. According to the technical requirements, access to relevant information and through a series of pilot studies to determine epoxy asphalt composition, as well as the various components. The best amount of ingredients,through the test of epoxy asphalt, identify the relationship between epoxy asphalt curing time and curing temperature, the pull-shear strength, bending tensile properties and the deformation capacity.Secondly, after determining the best amount of asphalt and aggregate gradation scope, throught a series of tests, test the self-made epoxy asphalt concrete compressive strength, water stability, temperature stability, and fatigue performance, compare with other steel bridge deck pavement materials.In the end, takeing into account construction, in accordance with mixing of different temperature and time of self-made epoxy asphalt concrete samples to conduct a series of test, determine the best construction temperature and mixing time. And then, under different curing conditions, in accordance with the self-made epoxy asphalt sample splitting strength, determine the suitable construction temperature about the self-made epoxy asphalt.
