The Macro-fungis, an sources of foods and medicine in people’s daily life, which built special defensein the process of living space competition against other species. Biological enzyme system was used toproduce the secondary metabolites to resist erosion by other species. These secondary metabolites withcomplex chemical structure and a variety of biological activity will be a potential resource of new medicineand new pesticides. Polyporus picipes is a fungus of Polyporaceace family in macro-fungi. Previousresearch has shown that it contains a variety of secondary metabolites with diverse biologicalactivity(anti-tumor, insecticides, antibacterial). It should be worthy of further research to provide guidanceto find new lead compounds. On Basis of preliminary studies, P. picipes has the diversity of secondary metabolites and biogicalactivities. A variety of chromatographic techniques (normal phase and reverse phase silica gel, PTLC andSephadex LH-20, etc.)and identification technologies(1H-NMR,13C-NMR, ESI-MS, etc.) were used.Chemical composition of compounds isolate from Polyporus picipes were analysed, and the activities ofthese compounds in human pathogenic bacteria, plant pathogens, and lethal shrimp were tested. Thepolypores liquid fermentation conditions were optimized. The results as follows:1. Five compounds were isolated from P.picipes after fermentation and four compounds wereidentified: ergosterol(Ⅰ),(3S,4S)-3,4,8-Trihydroxy-6-methoxy-3,4-dihydro-1(2H)-naphtha-lenone(Ⅱ),ergosterol peroxide (Ⅲ),4,6,8(14),22(23)-4-ene-3–keto–ergotsteranes (Ⅴ).Compound II is the first timeisolated from P. picipes.2. The activity tests of four compounds showed that: compounds revealed significant inhibitoryactivity against Staphylococcus aureus and weak in anti-bacterial activity, killing shrimp activity andanti-six plant pathogens(B.c:,A. s: C. g:,F. s:,F. n:,F. v:.)The value of IC50is92μg mL-1incompound III against F.s.3. The Medium was optimized, The anti-plant pathogenic activity in different pH values in PDadvanced medium optimization were compared. The Results showed that: P.picipes grew better andperformed the alternative antibacterial activity as pH in the weakly acidic (pH=6.7).In short, species of secondary metabolites were enriched through this research. And the theoreticalfoundation and experience were provided for future research of Polyporus picipes.
