In the economic and social development, forestry bears the twofold historical missions of optimizing environment and promoting economic development. Under such background, how to operate and manage forest enables it to be possible to display the economic benefit, ecological benefit and social benefit fully has the vital practical significance. Because the forest resources always located in mountains, have complex terrain and inconvenient transport, do the investigation on the photograph and necessary ground investigation as supplementary means will save the massive manpower, material and funds, raise the working efficiency. Digital Photogrammetry processes the digital aerial image using computer and specialized photographic survey software.This paper first researched geographic imaging technology and technology platform, including the basic principle of geographic imaging technology, workflow and software platform (ERDAS and Arc View). Secondly, it described bundle aero triangulation solution scheme and the detailed steps in practice. Lastly, Laoshan circle unit of Maoer Mountain forest farm attached to Northeast Forestry University was taken as research area and generated Digital Terrain Model (DTM) and Digital Ortho photo Map (DOM) after aerial triangulation on ERDAS and Arc View system platform.Complete the study of the forest survey system specific to the forest survey factor based on Digital Photogrammetry technology. The specific forest sources investigation factors include Digital Terrain Model,3D visualization, information query, Digital Stereo Model, forest dividing and the interpretation of the species type. This research combined3S technology, based on Stereo Analyst platform and Ortho BASE module extracted the feature information provided the technological means of extracting and inquiring the forest terrain information and supplied the essential foundation information for the forest plan and the forest management.
