The Study On Vertical Greening In Xiamen Of Green Space

As a new greening way, vertical greening is a trend of greening in city and occursin green space of Xiamen. In this paper, vertical greening was taken as the research object,survey and data collection were first conducted in green space of Xiamen, then the applicationsof vertical greening to green space of Xiamen were systematically analysed， the planning anddesign of the South vertical greening and the main forms of vertical greening in Xiamen werewas further summarized. The common vertical plants were classified and the landscapeevaluation system of vertical plants was also established. Then collect the main technology ofvertical greening. Finally the problems of applications of vertical greeningin Xiamen of greenspace were analysed, and some corresponding countermeasures were proposed. The main resultswere as follows:1. The background, purpose, concept and the role of the vertical greening were described.At the same time,the domestic and international status of the vertical green wereanalyzed. Finally, the content and method of this thesis were introduced.2. Southen vertical green planning and design were analyzed. Mainly from the southenvertical green design principles and practice. The design principles were mainly for therational selection of plants, plant configuration and the overall amount of verticalgreening the site must comply with the loading capacity. The practice of planning anddesign process included planning and design preparation, overall planning and designplanning, detailed planning and design, drawings and text production, constructioncoordination and operational management.3. The applied research of the vertical greening in Xiamen City was investigated. First.the Xiamen’s geographical location, population and economic conditions, climaticconditions and soil resource characteristics and greenery were described. Second, themain form of vertical greening in Xiamen City: green walls, balconies and baywindows green, green doors, scaffolding, greening the city bridge and the columngreen, slopes, terraces green fence with railings green, rockeries greening,three-dimensional flower bed, green roofs were summarized. Then the vertical greenplants and green benefit evaluation in the Xiamen City were summarized, Finally, thevertical greening technology was summarized.4. The vertical greening in Xiamen City was analyzed and development proposals were given. Recognized the advantages of vertical greening in Xiamen City: theGovernment attached great importance to carry out the implementation.people got highawareness of vertical greening. However, there were some drawbacks as followes: thevertical green technology was simple and the application of plant species, theconfiguration approach, the form were single, The small scale of the vertical greenapplications, lack of maintenance and management, the vertical green landscape andecological benefits were not significant. Recommended for these shortcomings as thefollowing points: the standards of vertical greening should be formulated, the systemshould be improved; Strengthen the vertical green advocacy efforts to expand theapplication space; fully applied in the form of vertical greening; strengthen thescientific and rational use of the configuration of vertical green plants, improvepost-conservation and management; in-depth study of vertical greening of newtechnologies and comprehensive application to the actual; increased research efforts,breeding, cultivation of new varieties of vertical greening.
