The study was conducted to investigate the effects of supplemental different concentration of chromium methionine chelate on growth performance, back fat thickness and pork quality in finishing pigs.200finishing pigs were divided into four groups by weight, each of which included five replicates of10pigs. The control groupwas fed with basal diet. Three treated groups received the same basal diet supplemented with300mg/t,600mg/t,900mg/t Cr from chromium methionine chelate. The pigs were fed experimental diet for35days. Before feeding trial and when it was end, each pig was weighted on an empty stomach. Feed intake reference to peacetime record. Account ADFI, ADG, FGR for recorded. After feeding trial,20pigs were selected to be slaughted to determine the back fat thickness, meat quality and to collect samples for laboratory analysis. The results of feeding trail showed that:in comparison to the control group, the ADG increased (P<0.05),ADFI,FGR decreased (P<0.05) in the treated group of600mg. In comparison to the control group, ADG decreased (P>0.05),ADFI,FGR increased (P>0.05) in the treated group of900mg, no significant difference was found.Determination results of back fat thickness show that:when different dosage of Cr added in each treated group, no significant difference was found in average back fat thickness in three points and in6-7ribs. The back fat thickness in shoulder and in back tended to decreased when the dosage of Cr added in each treated group increased, but the back fat thickness in6-7ribs tended to increased. The analysis of meat quality showed that:in comparison to the control group, intramuscular fat increased by57%,92.5%in the treated group of600mg and900mg (P<0.05); drip Loss and Approach increased by12.5%(P<0.05) in the treated group of300mg;There is no significant difference of the tenderness of psoas major muscle in each treated group; In comparison to the control group, the tenderness of longissimus dorsi muscle decreased by17.6%(P<0.05)Cr3+can improve insulin sensitivity. During this process, NO pathway have important effect. NO, as an Information material in and between cells, is important in physiology and pathological process, and in different gastrointestinal motility, such as regulating gastrointestinal blood circulation, gastric juice, intestinal fluid secretion and mucosal injury and repair.NOS widespread in the gastrointestinal tract. This study use finishing pigs to study the expression of nNOS and iNOS in intestine of pig.The results of immunohistochemistry show that:nNOS and iNOS were localized in different part of small intestine. Concentrated in the epithelial cells of intestinal gland and cryptae, smooth muscle cell in the tunica muscularis intestine itenuis, and epithelial cells in intestinal villi.
