Magnolia Officinalis Rehd.et Wils was an arbor tree in magnoliaceae. The bark, flowers and seeds of this tree could be served as traditional Chinese medicine and its leaf could be made into food wrapper, which made high economic benefit for farmers. It also has a very long natural life, so we consider it as major afforestation tree species of converting land to forest.By using of Stereo cultivated model, the productivity, physicochemical properties of soil and biodiversity of soil in the timberland could be significantly improved.From the study based on the study plots of stereo cultivated model for Magnolia Officinalis Rehd.et Wils, we draw the following conclusions, the results showed:(1) Based on results marked by experts, the highest economic benefit was observed in tobacco leaf for11interplating materials and chosen Indocalamus Tessellates (Munro) keng f. and tea were the most suitable for Magnolia Officinalis Rehd. et Wils with intercropping under the forest.(2) Compared with the same condition of cultivated slope land, each kind of stereo cultivated model remarkably conserved water and reduced the soil erosion. Thereinto the model of Magnolia Officinalis Rehd.et Wils-Indocalamus tessellatus (Munro) Keng f. model performed the strongest function, and the runoff volume deduced55%, soil erosion amount deduced78%, followed by Magnolia Officinalis Rehd.et Wils-tea, the lowest of the function was Magnolia Officinalis Rehd.et Wils-tobacco leaf.(3) Studying on the pure Magnolia Officinalis Rehd.et Wils forest and stereo cultivated model, we observed that rational plant configuration was help to improve the function of water conservation in converting land to forest.(4) Analyzing input-output ratios of different Stereo Cultivated Models with Magnolia Officinalis Rehd.et Wils, we found Magnolia Officinalis Rehd.et Wils-Indocalamus tessellatus (Munro) Keng f. model showed the highest values, which reached9.2:1. (5) Compared with the ecological and economic benefits of different stereo cultivated models, the most rational Stereo Cultivated Model was Magnolia Officinalis Rehd.et Wils-Indocalamus tessellatus (Munro) Keng f..(6) Emphasis is placed on the main afforesting technology of Magnolia Officinalis Rehd.et Wils-Indocalamus tessellatus (Munro) Keng f. model.(7) We established technical regulation of stereo interplanting cultivation of Magnolia Officinalis Rehd.et Wils-Indocalamus tessellatus (Munro) Keng f.These researches provided a good foundation for converting land with Magnolia Officinalis Rehd.et Wils as main plantation tree species. The application of this model is very important for conversing cropland to forest spontaneously in E’xi mountainous area.
