The Chili Inbred Lines Combing Ability Of Yield Characters Determine And Combinations Of Optional In Yunnan Province

In order to determine the combining ability of some excellent chili inbred lines selected by the chilibreeding research group in Horticultural Institute of Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Science, and toprovide a basis for selecting hybrid combination for cultivating the new chili varieties adapt to Yunnanspecial geography and climate conditions, the NCⅡ method was adopted to contrastively test thegeneral and specific combining abilities of9ox horn pepper and7sheep horn chili combined parentsrespectively. Through the selection test of the hybridization combination, the measurement test of thecombining ability and the analysis of test data, the results were as follows:(1) In the tested parentalcombinations of ox horn chili, the biggest general combining ability of inbred line was0399258in thetest lines (male parent), the biggest general combining ability of yield and fruit number of inbred line inthe tested lines (female parent) was0305367-1and0305349respectively; Both the biggest specificcombining ability of yield and fruit number of hybridization combinations were0305347×0399078.(2)In the tested parents of sheep horn chili combinations, the biggest general combining ability of inbredline was0399295in the test lines (male parent), both the biggest general combining ability of yield andfruit number of inbred line in the tested lines (female parent) were268-1-1-S; The biggest specificcombining ability of yield of hybridization combinations was078-2-1-S-S-2×0399295, and the biggestspecific combining ability of fruit number of hybridization combinations was268-1-1-S×0399295.Through the correlation analysis of parental general combining ability and plot yield, fruit numbercharacters of hybrid combinations, and the correlation analysis of hybrid combination’s specialcombining ability and the characters of plot yield, fruit number, the following conclusions can be drawn:(1) The general combining ability of chili parental yield and fruit number had the positive correlation ofthe combination’s character performance.(2) The chili hybridization combination’s yield, fruit numberhad no correlation of the special combining ability of the combinations.(3) In the parental selection ofhybrid breeding work, selecting materials with high general combining ability as parents could expect toget a hybridization combination with good traits.
