Flammulina velutipes is a small agaric which appeared in the cold reason for end of the fall or early spring. The English name is "ENIKI MUSHROOM" It was named that on account of it’s appearance resembling a lily flower. Flammulina velutipes is distributed widely in China, Japan, Siberia, Europe,North America and so on.In our country,it is distributed from the south Guangdong to the north Heilong River,from the East Fujian to the West Sichuan.Flammulina velutipes needed a rigorous growth condition,for instance,the optimal temperature, humidity, concentration of carbon dioxide and illumination,the illumination was the most important among all these factors. It would fail to form the primodium without illumination in the phase of primodium formation,in addition,the fruit body would become a deformed mushroom with styliform stipe,and that the strong light could lead to a thick short fruit body,all above these can not turn out the commercial value Flammulina velutipes.Therefore,it was a crucial effect on Flammulina velutipes production to find out the optimal illumination conditions.Five light qualities light emitting diodes(LED)(red,yellow,blue, green,white) were made use to illuminate two strains Flammulina velutipes of S2and C6when they have finished spawn-running. In order to find the optimal illumination condition.The first experiment results revealed that kinds of lighting illumination can promote the primordia formation early,the white light reflection best. The better treatment to primordial hastening was red or yellow light,on the contrary,the blue light treatment was the worst.The green light treatment can take a high increase production,there were a little differences between red or yellow light treatments and the comparisons.The uniformity of red light, yellow light,green light and darkness treatments appeared better.The better fruit body shape with a slender stipe and a small pileus can be obtained under the darkness treatments, red light, yellow light,green light treatments secondly. The second experiment results revealed that all kinds of lighting illumination can promote the white and yellow strains primordia formation early, the best treatments to primordial hastening were red light for C610min everyday and red or yellow light for S230min everyday;both the two strains appeared the best uniformity with the red and yellow light treatments,the better uniformity was obtained for C6under the30min blue light everyday and1h blue light to S2everyday;the yield of the two strains were both increased obviously under the blue,green and white light treatments;among the six kinds of illumination treatments,red and yellow light treatments lead to smaller pileus,however,the yield for that were the lowest;the longer stipe gained under the blue,green and white light treatments, nevertheless,that lead to the bigger pileus.Base on the two experiments’results we should illuminate the substrate surface when they have finished spawn-running with red light for primordial hastening in30min everday,for supplemental lighting condition, exposing blue,green or white light for two hours everday were the appropriate choices,illuminating with the blue light one hour everyday could take a good effect among all these supplemental lighting conditions,this treatment not only make the fruit body more trimly,but also a high production.lt was waste electrical power resources and harmful to the fruit bodies with strong light.
