Research On Capacity Factor Of Animal Disease Prevention And Control Institution

In the situation of ever-accelerating process of economic globalization,the risk of the spread of major animal disease also continue to increase with the continuous increase of trade and circulation of animal origin products in recent years,avian influenza,foot and mouth disease and other major animal epidemic provention and control experience tells us that,where the veterinary institutions are not perfect,the team are instability,the funding does not guaranteed,where the veterinary work will fall into a passive,there is a major animal epidemic and hidden security incidents of animal product quality.Animal disease provention and control institutions plays an important role in various diseases early diagnosis,provention and control processes as official veterinarian technical support organization.China already started the construction of veterinary technical support angencies a long time before,and after decades of hard work has achieved gratifuing result.But there are still many problems in the construction of China’s animal disease prevention and control institutions which need to be improved.This project has got Special Fund for Agro-scientific Research in the Public Interest which aims to study and analysis the main problems of China’s animal epidemic provention and control institutions on the basis of depth study of Performance Evaluation Index System of the OIE,and put forward comments and suggestions to build Chinas construction standards and assessment index system with reference to the PVS (OIE Tool for the Evaluation of Performance of Veterinary Services) evaluation indicators.
