Urbanization is the inevitable trend of human society development, and it is also an essential symbol of human society sustainable and healthy development. Urbanization brings about social progress to our human race, however, it does also bring about a series of urban problems. Recently, the higher requests of the construction of urban green space have been put forward by the citizens, they not only care about the environment-beautifying effect of the urban green space, but also their awareness of the ecological health function of the urban green space has been rose since the development of the society. It is of vital importance to correctly monitor the ecological health function of urban green space, and on one hand, it can do help to guide the construction of urban green space and the life of people, on the other hand it could to support the construction of urban greening with scientific data. But, The existing urban green space ecology health function monitoring is still in a beginning stage, the current urban green space ecology health function monitoring is often focusing on short-term monitoring and usually only monitoring one ecological health function factor once. According to the current literatures, the research of monitoring on the ecological health function of garden plants and the plants community is relatively less.On Sept.2010and Nov.2010,3typical urban green spaces have been selected on the basis of their spatial distribution, some of the representatives of the affiliated green spaces of urban highway, city parks and the City country parks have been chosen.In order to monitor the ecological function of5typical green species in Beijing, we also started the work on Sept.2011, Dec,2011and March,2012. Besides, the research on the ecological health function of2greenways in Beijing has been carried out on Sept.2012. Such researches mentioned above have come to some conclusions as following:(1) there is a large gap between the concentration of negative ions in different Greenbelt Types of health functions in the same period of time in the air, for example, the maximum number occurs in a country park (1810/cm3), higher than the units green (980/cm3), much more higher than the number in the business center as a control point(110/cm3); there are significant differences in the position of the same green space.Taking the road green shelterbelts as examples, the concentration of negative air ions in the center of the shelter-belt went up to1900/cm3, above the forest edge(591/cm3) and the external point(120/cm3); same green health functions with the season change significantly, in leaf stage, the concentration of negative ions in the road green shelterbelts center (1900/cm3) is twice than the concentration of negative ions (750/cm3) in the same location in the air.(2) Some conclusions can be seen from the results:compared to the five single-specie arbor groves, arbor-shrub-grass green space had better eco-health function. Using the concentration of CO2as an example, the highest concentration of air anion was found in a arbor-shrub-grass green space(435μmol/mol); Deciduous trees had better eco-health function in foliaceous period, while showed poor eco-health function in foliage-falling period. Using the concentration of air anion as an example, the highest number was found in deciduous tree groves(Salix matsudana)1500/cm3; In terms of maintaining the eco-health function, evergreen conifer groves, represented by oriental arborvitae (Platycladus orientalis), showed a more steady result. The difference of the air anion concentrations was154/cm3, which was half of the difference of deciduous specie (Poplus tomentosa).(3)The analysis of North Fifth Ring greenway data showed that the sites with higher greening level have higher ecological health function. For example, Gujiazhuangqiao site has the highest greening level, and its concentration of air ion is480/cm3.Guangshunqiao site’s concentration of air ion is432/cm3.Beiyuanqiaodong site has the lowest greening level, and its concentration of air ion is421/cm3.Badaling highway greenway shows the same result as North Fifth Ring greenway. Overall, concentration of air ion of the two greenway sites is lower than the city parks. And the greenway sites’ concentration of air ion didn’t reach1000/cm which concentration has health function. But the greenways have a significant effect on cooling and humidifying.
