Clinical Significance Of Livin、Survivin And IGF-2Expression In Pancreatic Carcinoma

Objective:To detect the expression and clinical implication of Livin、survivin in thirty-two cases ofpancreatic carcinoma and ten cases of nomal pancreas tissues and to determine the correlationamong Livin、survivin、Insulin-like growth factor-2,IGF-2protein expressions and their clinicopathological significanc and to investigate the role of their alterations in tumorigenesis andprogression of pancreatic carcinomas and to be helpful for diagnosis and treatment ofpancreatic carcinoma.Materials and methods:Experiment group consisted of32paraffin-embedded specimens，which were resectedfrom patients with confirmed pancreatic ductal carcinoma by postoperative pathology inGerenal Surgery Department of Associated Hospital to College of Hebei Univercity in2007.1-2011.6。14male cases and18female cases aged from42to71(57±6)。According toUICC and AJCC which announced version6TNM staging system in2002，5cases were inⅠstages，and9cases were ⅡAstages，and14cases wereⅡB stages，while4cases were inⅢstages，no Ⅳ stages case。There were lymph node metastasis in18cases，32cases ofpancreatic ductal carcinoma include good differentiation in13cases，moderate differentiationin19cases.Meanwhile，10specimens were taken from normal pancreatic tissues。SP immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of Livin,survivin andIGF-2in pancreatic carcinoma and normal pancreatic tissues.Data were taken with imagepattern analysis.Pearson are used to analyze the correlation of the two group.Contrast betweenthe two groups was detected with X2test. The above analyses were all completed by spss16.0software.Results:Livin,survivin and IGF-2expression in pancreatic carcinoma tissues was significantlyhigher than in normal pancreatic tissues.(p<0.05).There was a highly positive correlation among the expression of Livin,survivin andIGF-2proved by the correlation test (χ~2=0.553、0.358, P <0.05).The expression of survivin was associated with lymph node metastasis and histological grade and TNM stages,but not with the gender,age,tumor size.The expression of IGF-2was associated with TNM stages and lymph node metastasis,butnot with the gender,age,tumor size, histological grade.Conclusion:1.The expressions of survivin and IGF-2were significantly associated with TNM stagesand lymph node metastasis，but not with the gender、age、tumor size and histological grade。2.The expressions of Livin was significantly associated with TNM stages andhistological grade and lymph node metastasis，but not with the gender、age、tumor size。3. The expressions of Livin、survivin and IGF-2have an impact on the tumor genesis andprogression of pancreatic carcinoma.。United detection to judge the prognosis of pancreaticcarcinoma may provide important molecular index。...
