Objective:(1)To explore the expression of TK1in colorectal cancer and normalcolorectal mucosa tissues;(2)To explore the expression of Ki67,p53and VEGF in colorectal cancer;(3)To explore the relationship between the expression of TK1, Ki67, p53,VEGF with the clinicopathological parameters in colorectal cancer;(4)To explore the correlation between the expression of TK1, Ki67,p53, and VEGF in colorectal cancer. Methods:A collection of142colorectal cancer paraffin-embedded tissues aftersurgery opertation in Fujian Provincial People’s Hospital from September2009to March2011,which have complete follow-up data Were detected theexpression of TK1,Ki67,p53and VEGF in colorectal cancer and normalcolorectal mucosa tissues by SP Immunohistochemistry.SPSS18.0statistical package were performed to analysis therelationship between the expression of TK1,Ki67,p53and VEGF incolorectal cancer with the clinicopathological parameters, and theircorrelation.Results:(1) TK1was expressed mostly on the cytoplasm and some of thenucleus, but not on the membrane. The positive expression rate of TK1incolorectal cancer was82.4%(117/142),but in normal colorectal mucosawas10.6%(15/142, all of them were expressed weakly). The expression ofTK1between colorectal cancer and normal colorectal mucosa were statistically significantly different(P <0.05). The expression of TK1incolorectal cancer were no statistically significantly difference ingender, age, location, size, pathological type, degree of differentiation, depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis and TMN staging (P>0.05), butsignificantly difference in general classification (P <0.05).(2) Ki67were expressed on the nucleus, and the positive expressionrate in colorectal cancer was94.4%(127/142). The expression of Ki67weresignificantly different(P<0.05)between the different degrees ofdifferentiation in colorectal cancer, showed on the well-differentiatedgroup and the moderately-differentiated group, the well-differentiatedgroup and the poorly differentiated group (P <0.05),but no correlationwith other clinicopathological parameters (P>0.05).(3)p53were expressed in the nucleus, the positive expression rate incolorectal cancer was65.5%(93/142),but no correlation with allclinicopathological parameters (P>0.05).(4) VEGF were expressed in the nucleus, the positive expression ratein colorectal cancer was87.3%(124/142). The expression of VEGF weresignificantly different(P <0.05) in the depth of invasion of colorectalcancer between T4group with non-T4group (P <0.05), With invasing intothe serosa, the expression of VEGF was increasing. The expression of VEGFwere significantly different(P <0.05) between the well-differentiated-moderately-differentiated group and the poorly differentiated group.Well-differentiated group with lower VEGF expression. But no correlationwith other clinicopathological parameters (P>0.05).(5)There were correlations between TK1and Ki67,p53,VEGF;and therewere correlations between Ki67and p53;p53and VEGF(P <0.05),but notstrong.Conclusion:(1) TK1maybe associated with the incidence of colorectal cancer butnot the development of colorectal cancer. (2)We cofirmed that there were significant correlations between TK1and Ki67,p53,VEGF.And there were correlations between Ki67and p53;p53and VEGF.
