The Clinical Study On Treatmeant Of Ankylosing Spondylitis With Yishen Juanbi Pill

ObjectsTo approach the effective treatment mechanism of ankylosing spondylitis according to chinese medical literature analysis and research on ankylosing spondylitis patients, to prove the rationality and feasibility of "Yishen Juanbi pill".Methods58patients with AS were randonly divided into two group:the treatment group with30patients and the control group with28patients. Patients in the control group were treated with regularmedicine, and Yishen Juanbi pill was added to the treadment group. The Bath index, erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR), C-neactveprotein(CRP) were tested before the treatment began and12weeks later, and clinical symptoms and sign were measured before the treatment began and12weeks later.Results12weeks after treatment began, the therapy group:comared to the original level,bath ankylosing spondylitis patient global score, bath ankylosing spondylitis disease activity index, bath ankylosing spondylitis fundation index, body function, rachialgia, stiffness of spondy, time of early morning stiffness, totle assessment of doctor, distance between head and wall, distance between submaxilla and manubrium, distance between fingers and ground, Schober test, activity of spine,activity of thoracic skeleton, figure of four test, erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR), C-neactveprotein(CRP) were improved significantly(P<0.05). The control group:comared to the original level, bath ankylosing spondylitis patient global score, bath ankylosing spondylitis disease activity index, bath ankylosing spondylitis fundation index, body function, rachialgia, stiffness of spondy, time of early morning st. i ffness, totle assessment of doctor, distance between fingers and ground, Schober test, activity of spine, activity of thoracic skeleton,figure of four test, erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR), C-neactveprotein(CRP) were improved significantly(P<0.05);distance between head and wall, distance between submaxilla and manubrium were not improved significantly (P>0.05) The therapy group VS the control group, there were difference in bath ankylosing spondylitis patient global score, bath ankylosing spondylitis disease activity index, bath ankylosing spondylitis fundation index, body function, rachialgia, stiffness of spondy, time of early morning stiffness, totle assessment of doctor, distance between head and wall, distance between submaxilla and manubrium, distance between fingers and ground, Schober test, activity of spine, activity of thoracic skeleton, figure of four test,erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR), C-neactveprotein(CRP)(P<0.05).ConclusionsClinical studies have confirmed that Yishen Juanbi pill combined with sulfasalazine has the certain therapeutic effect of treating AS and low incidence of adverse reactions and toxic side effects. And the trerapeutic effect of Yishen Juanbi pill combined with sulfasalazine surpasses therapeutic effect of sulfasalazine.
