Research objectiveTo study the expression of Suivivin and P53gene in bladder adenocarcinoma, explore their roles and relationships in its occurrence and development, expect to get aids for diagnosis, treatment and predicting prognosis in patients with adenocarcinoma of the bladder.MethodsExpression of Survivin and P53protein were detected by immunohistochemical S-P method in40cases of bladder adenocarcinoma tissue,10normal bladder mucosa by contrast.Their relationships were also analysed.Correlation analysis was used to verify their relationship with the degree of malignancy of bladder adenocarcinoma.ResultsThe positive rate of Survivin and P53expression in adenocarcinoma was85.0%and77.5%, respectively, but these were negative in normal bladder mucosa (X2=44.56and37.04,respectively,(P<0.05), and there is a significant difference. Positive correlation was found between expression of Survivin/P53and the pathological grading and clinical stage.Expression of Suivivin and P53were both positive in29 cases and both negative in4cases, and they had definite correlation (X2=7.90, r=0.41, P<0.05).ConclusionSurvivin and P53play an important role in the occurrence and development of bladder adenocarcinoma.Positive correlation was observed between expression of Survivin/P53and the pathological grading and clinical stage.Synergies effects between Survivin and P53may exist. The abnormal expression of survivin has an extreme relationship with unusual P53.
