Objective:To observe the clinical therapeutic of spleen invigorating and kidney nourishing therapy for idiopathic short stature in children, discuss its mechanism of action, evaluate the clinical significance of treating this disease with Traditional Chinese Medicine and to enrich the therapeutics of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Methods:Collection of Jiangsu Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital pediatric outpatient cases60cases (2010September～2011December), divided into the treatment group and the control group, in all30cases, the treatment group to Decoction of invigorating spleen and kidney, the control group as the blank group, out of the total curative effect and the observed indexes before and after treatment between groups, within group comparisons.Results:The total therapeutic effect of the treatment group was68.13%. After treatment in height, growth rate compared with before treatment, there were significant differences, And TCM Syndromes of anorexia、sparse hair、emaciation、stool is not adjustable、chilly cold symptoms compared with before treatment, but also extremely significant difference, and in the treatment of3months that reflects its advantages. The treatment group and the control group6months after bone growth difference.Before and after treatment with no obvious adverse reaction. From the cost-effectiveness analysis, Jianpi Yishen Decoction in the treatment of lower cost, for the majority of parents accepted, and has better clinical significance.Conclusion:Idiopathic short stature in children with spleen and kidney deficiency pathological mechanism, invigorating spleen and kidney is the treatment of idiopathic short stature children’s effective governance, Chinese medicine in the treatment of this disease has a better clinical significance.
