Background: Smoking is the top threat to human health in today’s world. The worldhealth organization estimates that around the world every year the number of5millionpeople was died from smoking related diseases. It is estimated that death of tobacco willreach8million in2030in the global,50%of the current smokers (650million) will beearly death for all kinds of disease related tobacco, plus the influence of thesecond-hand smoke, there will be1billion people lead to disease and death because ofthe tobacco by the end of the century. At present, in our country the death caused bytobacco would be more than the sum of tuberculosis, malaria, production and perinatalcomplications and AIDS. In order to control the harm of tabacco,to carry out tobaccocontrol work has been Heifei current important task.Learn Hefei residents ofsmoking,quitting smoking status to study the impact of influencing factors,to be findeffective ways to lower of smoking among residents,increase cessation rates has becomean urgent need to addres the problem in Hefei tobacco control process.Objective: Learn Hefei residents smoking,quit smoking,to explore the influencingfactors of Hefei residents of smoking and quit smoking, status quo,it will be better carryout quit smoking of Hefei residents sctinities,reduce the smoking rate of residents andprovide a scientific basis for the development of relevant tobacco control policy.Methods: The subject which aged15and above old, living in Hefei more than halfyears and above the in ShuShan and LuYang four streets were including in our study.We use ZheJiang university team questionnaire, and by self-report questionnaire tocollect information. Use EpiData3.1to establish database, double entry and inspection wrong, use SPSS16.0statistical analysis software analysis. Data analysis methodsmainly include general description chromatography analysis a chi-square test andlogistic regression analysis.Results: The rate of Hefei city residents smoking was36.02%,and now is32.04%, andfor men, now smoking was50.09%, women are smoking was5.2%now, Hefei residentsmoking17.1cigarettes in average daily;Logistic regression analysis showed that thefamilies of smokers smoking ban,the unit smoking ban and attention with tobaccoadvertising to their smoking behavior;86.21%of the smokers smoking20yuan of thefollowing cigarette, with43.79%of the smokers said, such as tobacco raise prices, theywill reduce smoking;the rate of Hefei city smokers quit was11.04%,47.24%of currentsmokers intend to quit smoking;Logistic regression analysis showed that smokerage,number of years of smoking, number of smoking cessation, smoking, awareness oftobacco hazards relevant of their wish to quit smoking.Conclusion:①The lack of mandatory smoking ban led to smokers feel smoking inpublic place in Hefei;②Family and units have total ban on smoking can reduce thesmoking behavior of residents;③Strongly stimulate the tobacco negative publicity canreduce the smoking behavior of smoker, and to improve their quit smokingtendency;④Smokers to quit is ineffective and smoking cessation services ispoor;⑤Hefei tobacco executive power is not enough, the high rote of smoking amongresidents.Suggestions:○1The use of comprehensive means to promote more family, units to carryout a comprehensive anti-smoking campaigns to reduce the smoking rate of residents;○2Hefei need to be legislation of smoking in public place, and strictly enforced,to reducethe phenomenon of smokers to smoke in public place;○3To reduce the smoking behaviorof smokers in public places through smoking logo of widely posted in public places.
