Purpose:To validate the difference of DDR1’s expression between esophageal squamous cancer and corresponding para-cancer tissues, analyse the correlations of the DDR1expression in esophageal squamous cancer and patients’clinical date。Method:We collected40cases of esophageal squamous cancer and para-cancer specimen, and adopted real time PCR and immunohistochemistry to investigate the expression of DDR1in esophageal squamous cancer and para-cancer, meanwhile, analysed the correlations of the DDR1’s expression in esophageal squamous cancer and patients’clinical date through statistical methods. Results:In this study, we found the outcome of real time PCR and immunohistochemistry both show that the expression of DDR1in esophageal squamous cancer were significantly higher than in para-cancer tissues (P=0.000<0.005); and there were statistical differences between the expression of DDR1with cancer invasive depth and the number of metastatic lymph nodes, but was no differences with the differentiation of the cancer (P=0.302>0.05), the expression of DDR1in the deep invasive specimen is higher than the shallow ones (P=0.020<0.005), and which is higher in the specimen with more metastatic lymph nodes than with less ones (P=0.000<0.05). As increasing of cancer invasive depth (r=0.300, P=0.038<0.005) and the number of metastatic lymph nodes (r=0.695, P=0.038<0.005), the expression of DDR1is higherConclusion:1) The expression of DDRl in cancer tissues is higher than the expression in para-cancer tissues.2) The expression of DDR1in cancer tissues was correlated with the number of metastatic lymph nodes and cancer invasive depth but not with the differentiation of the cancer.
