The Clinical Observation Of Jiajian Guishen Pill On Treatment Of Hypomenorrhea Caused By Induced Abortion(TCM For Kidney Deficiency And Blood Stasis Type)

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Jiajian Guishen Pill on treatment of hypomenorrhea caused by induced abortion (TCM for kidney deficiency and blood stasis type), to provide a scientific basis for the clinical application of it.Methods:1.Selected40patients diagnosed Hypomenorrhea after induced abortions of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type,all from the gynecological department of Hubei Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June2010to December2011. They Were randomly divided into the treatment group (20cases) and the control group (20cases). The difference between their data, such as age, course of disease and times of induced abortion was not significant analyzed statistically (P>0.05), which meaned they were comparable.2. The patients in the treatment group were given Jiajian Guishen Pill, a pack a day, water extraction in two oral. The patients in the control group were given the artificial cycle treatment of estrogen and progesterone:from the fifth day of menstruation, take estradiol valerate lmg, once daily,21days in total;add medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets10mg daily in the last5days, menstrual cramps after3to7days of withdrawal. The two groups were treated continuously for3months.3.Two groups were observed before and after the treatment, including the improvement of menstruation and clinical symptoms, the effect of endometrial thickness and serum reproductive endocrine hormone levels (E2、LH、FSH、PRL、P), the changes in basal body temperature, the disease recurrence after3months of withdrawal and adverse reactions in the course of treatment. Observations were statistically analysed to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Jiajian Guishen Pill.Results:1. Comparison of the clinical effect:The total effective rate of treatment group was80%,the control group’s was85%, compared with the two groups, there was no significant difference(P>0.05); In the treatment group, there was none case became hypomenorrhea again after the restoration of menstrual and withdrawal of three months, while in the control group, there were four cases of hypomenorrhea recurrence after withdrawal, indicating that the comprehensive efficacy of the treatment group was better than the control group.2. The comparison of menstruation score:after treatment, all the patients’menstruation score of the two groups were obviously improved,compared with pre-treatment the differences were very significant (P<0.01), and the effect of treatment group was better than the control group (P<0.05).3. The total symptom score comparison:After treatment, both the two groups’total symptom score decreased obviously. Compared with pre-treatment, they both had very significant differences (P<0.05), after treatment, and the effect of treatment group was obviously better than the control group (P<0.05).4. The comparison of endometrial thickness:All the patients’ endometrial thickness of the two groups was increased after treatment, which was significantly different compared with pre-treatment (P<0.05).But between the two groups they had no significant differences (P>0.05). Indicating that the two groups had similar effects to promote endometrial to hyperplasia and repair.5. In the serum reproductive endocrine hormone:After treatment, the E2level of the two groups were both increased, compared with pre-treatment the differences were significant (P<0.05).But between the two groups they had no significant differences (P>0.05). Levels of LH、FSH、PRL、P did not change significantly before and after treatment (P>0.05),and all levels were in the normal range. Indicating that the Jiajian Guishen Pill might have estrogen-like effect. The two groups both had no effect on FSH、 LH、P、PRL levels.6. The comparison of BBT:The patients’BBT of two groups showed a bipolar before and after treatment.7. Analysis of efficacy and related factors:In the treatment group,age, course of disease and times of induced abortion had a significant correlation with the efficacy. The younger, the shorter the course of disease and the fewer the times of induced abortion,the better the effect would be.8. Safety and adverse reactions:There were no cases of blood, urine, liver and kidney and ECG dysfunction occurred in the two groups. the treatment group had no adverse reaction, while there were four cases with mild gastrointestinal reactions and one case with mild breast tenderness in the control group.Conclusion:Jiajian Guishen Pill could significantly improve patients’ menstruation, clinical symptoms, promote endometrial to hyperplasia and repair, increase the E2level,but had no significant effect on the levels of LH、FSH、PRL、P and BBT, no adverse reactions, which was safe and effective to treat hypomenorrhea after induced abortions of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type. The younger, the shorter the course of disease and the fewer the times of induced abortion,the better the effect would be.
