Objective:This subject studies Treatment of phlegm and blood stasis’s clinical efficacy, TCM symptom efficacy and recurrence-prevent effect by comparing the treatment of Treatment of phlegm and blood stasis and flunarizine in treating Migraine (type of Phlegm and Blood Stasis Obstruct inside TCM).Method:1. Clinical data:The clinical study cases are from52outpatients and inpatients who received treatment in October2009to October2011from the Hubei Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. The cases are divided into two groups stochastically, treatment group and control group. Each group has26cases. Two groups have no significant difference in sex, age, duration, underlying diseases, blood pressure, blood glucose, blood lipid-related indicators (P>0.05), and show that the two groups were comparable.2. Treatment method:The treatment group takes Treatment of phlegm and blood stasis,(prepared pinellia tuber lOg, immature orange fruit lOg, indian bread15g, red tangerine peel lOg, grassleaf sweetflag rhizome6g, bamboo shavings lOg, zhigancao 6g, peach seed10g, saff lower10g, white peony root lOg, szechwan lovage rhizome10g, chinese angelica10g, dried rehmannia10g. Boil by Patients. Follow the traditional boiling method. One dose a day, boil to400ml, each time take200ml, twice. The control group takes flunarizine capsules,1tablet every night. Each piece of flunarizine capsules contains flunarizine5mg. Both groups course2-week’s treatment and2-week’s follow-up after the end of treatment. During treatment, patients were not allowed to concurrently taking other drugs which may affect the treatment’ s result.3. Efficacy observation:Observe both two groups’clinical efficacy, TCM symptom effect, blood pressure and blood glucose. Observe the treatment group’blood lipid-related indicators. And two groups’ recurrence after2-week’s follow-up. Then compare the therapeutic effects between the two groups.4. Safety inspection program:In newly diagnosed on the first day, once laboratory tests to the three normal testing (blood analysis, urine analysis, and stool), liver and kidney function, complete blood lipids and ECG. During the clinical study, observe whether the two groups have toxic side effects.5. Statistical method:The data is analyzed by statistical soft ware SPSS19.0. The count data is describe by (x±s), examined by homogeneity of variance test first, and analyzed by x2test. Means of the two groups are examined with t-test and the grade data with Ridit.Results:1. Clinical efficacy:Treatment group of26patients, clinical cure in5cases, markedly in8cases, effective in12cases, invalid in1case, the total efficiency of96.15%. Control group of26patients, clinical cure in2cases, markedly in5cases, effective in16cases, invalid in3cases, the total effective rate88.46%. According to the statistical tests, the difference was not significantly different (P>0.05).2. TCM symptoms efficacy:Treatment group of26patients, clinical cure in5cases, markedly in10cases, effective in10cases, invalid in1case, the total efficiency of96.15%. Control group of26patients, clinical cure in0cases, markedly in3cases, effective in15cases, invalid in8cases, the total effective rate69.23%. According to the statistical tests, the difference was significantly different (P<0.01).3. Recurrence comparison:Treatment group of26patients,4have recurrence, the recurrence rate is15.38%. Control group of26patients,12have recurrence, the recurrence rate is46.15%. According to the statistical tests, the difference was significantly different (P<0.05).4. Safety inspection:Both two groups did not have toxic side effects during the clinical study. It showed that Treatment of phlegm and blood stasis did not have toxic side effects. It was safety, effective and reliable. Conclusion:According to the clinical efficacy study, both treatment group and control group have effect to migraine (type of Phlegm and Blood Stasis Obstruct inside TCM) symptom, the two group have no significant difference (P>0.05). According to the TCM symptoms efficacy study, both treatment group and control group have effect to the headache (type of Phlegm and Blood Stasis Obstruct inside TCM) symptom, and the treatment group has more significant effect than the control group (P<0.01). According to the two groups of headache recurrence, the treatment group’s relapse rate is significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05). According to Treatment of phlegm and blood stasis is safe and non-toxic side effect.
