The dry aerial parts of scutellaria baicalensis Georgi were extracted with ethanol, theconcentrated alcohol extractwater was dispersed with water, extracted with petroleum ether,ethyl acetate and n-butanol respectively, petroleum ether extractive obtained accounted for1.9%of the quality of the aerial parts of scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, ethyl acetate extractiveaccounted for0.3%and the n-butanol extractive accounted for1.2%.By using of the methods column chromatography, HPLC separation and recrystallization,petroleum ether extract, ethyl acetate extract and n-butanol extract were isolated, purified,obtained21single compounds. Through the physical, chemical properties and spectral dataanalysis, their structures were identified: methoxyphaeophorbide (1),β-sitosterol-3-O-β-D-glucoside (2), p-hydroxybenethyl ethanol hexadecanoic methyl ester (3),α-apinasterol (4), β-sitosterol (5), glyceride-1-linoleic-3-linolenic acid ester (6),5,6,7,4′-tetrahydroxyflavanone (7), ethoxyphaeophorbide (8), n-octadecanol (9),5,7-dihydroxy-6-methoxyflavanone (10), oroxylin (11), chrysin (12), apigenin (13), Lutein(14),5,4′-dihydroxy-6,7,8,3′-tetramethoxyflavone (15),5,2′-dihydroxy-6,7,8,3′-tetramethoxyflavone (16),5,2′-dihydroxy-7,8,6′-trimethoxyflavone(17),5,2′-dihydroxy-7,8-dimethoxyflavone (18),5,2′-dihydroxy-6,7,8-trimethoxyflavone (19),apigenin4’-β-D-glucopyranoside (20), apigenin-7-β-D-glucopyranoside (21). Among thesecompounmds, compound3is a new and have not reported,7,10,11, and15~21are the firsttime have been isolated from the aerial parts of scutellaria baicalensis Georgi.The petroleum ether, ethyl acetate and n-butanol extract with the aerial parts ofscutellaria baicalensis Georgi were tested with anti-plant pathogens activity, and the resultsshowed that: The ethyl acetate extract has inhibitory action for Tomatoes downy mildew virus,Cucumber angular spot germs and Rhizoctonia solani, and enhanced with increasingconcentrations.
