Objective1. To investigate the effects of local injection of6mol/L hydrochloric acid solutioninto the muscle of New Zealand white rabbits, and then to explore the feasibility of6mol/L hydrochloric acid solution as a chemical ablation agent.2. To study the effects of different dosages of hydrochloric acid solution on theablation ragion of back muscles or liver, observe the tissue necrosis and theinflammatory reaction, expound the the histological changes of reaction zone, andsummarize the repair mechniasm of body to these ragions.Materials and Methods1. Useing a micro pump, inject2ml6mol/L Hydrochloric acid solution slowly intomuscle of4New Zealand white rabbit under the guidance of CT. Rabbit ear arterialblood samples were collected from the ear central artery at10min before and afterinjection and every morning in the next week, to measure the Cr、CK、AST、ALT.Meanwhile, the basi-vital sign were monitored.2.24New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into eight groups. Differentdosages of6mol/L hydrochloric acid solution(0.5ml、1.0ml、1.5ml、2.0ml) wasinjected into the back muscle of the rabbits at a constant rate of4ml/h according to theexperimental plan. The rabbits were then sacrificed at the end of experimental to dopathological slices, observe ablation zone, inflammatory reaction and detect the statusof fibrosis.3.8New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into two groups. Differentdosages of6mol/L hydrochloric acid solution(0.5ml、1.0ml) was infused into thelivers of the rabbits at a constant rate of4ml/h. The rabbits were then sacrificedregularly to do pathological slices, observe ablation zone, inflammatory reaction anddetect the status of fibrosis. Results1. After injection of6mol/L hydrochloric acid solution into rabbits, the Cr、CK、AST、ALT of peripheral blood lymphocytes showed a transient raise up,then back tonormal, basic vital sign showed no obvious abnormality. But the injection sitesshowed local ulceration.2. After injection of6mol/L hydrochloric acid solution into the back muscles in aquantitative manner, the necrotic areas were increasing with the injection volume. And there were visible granulocytes, multinucleated giant cells gather, fibrous tissuehyperplasia appeared in necrotic tissues with the time.3. After injection of6mol/L hydrochloric acid solution into the livers in a quantitativemanner, no obvious abnormalities were observed. The rabbits were sacrificed1day or1month later, It was found that injection sites showed obvious necrosis andinflammatory reaction zone were visible around necrotic tissues.Conclusion1. After local injection of6mol/L hydrochloric acid solution, the local ablation ragionis necrosis, there were no obvious systemic reactions, and basic physiologicalindicators could be maintained within a normal range.2. After injection of6mol/L hydrochloric acid solution into muscle, controlled localablation regions and complete cell necrosis were also observed. In12h afterinjection, the necrosis ragion is augment,in the next4weeks,these ragionsdecreased.3. After injection of6mol/L hydrochloric acid solution into liver, controlled localablation regions and complete cell necrosis were also observed. we can see theintrahepatic bile ducts around this ragion is ablated. In conclision,6mol/Lhydrochloric acid solution as a CT-guided local ablation agent is safe and reliable.
