Objective:1、This study examines the correlation between serum anti-survivinantibody level and survivin mRNA expression in patients with laryngealsquamous cell carcinoma.2、To investigate the potential of anti-survivin, anti-p53, andanti-c-Myc antibodies for use in the detection of laryngeal squamous cellcarcinoma.3、The role of survivin plays in the manifestation and development oflaryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.Methods:1、Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay was used for the detection ofserum anti-survivin, anti-p53, and anti-c-Myc antibodies.2、Semi-quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used for thedetection of survivin mRNA expression in the same serum sample.Results:1、High levels of anti-survivin antibody and survivin mRNA weredetected in the sera of patients with laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma, especially in samples from individuals with cervical lymphatic metastasis. They were significant association between both molecules.2、In these samples, they had high levels of both anti-p53andanti-c-Myc antibodies.3、After radical surgical treatment, the anti-survivin antibody andsurvivin mRNA expression levels decreased significantly. Similar trendswere observed with anti-p53and anti-c-Myc antibodies.4、High positive detection rates were obtained through independenttesting of anti-survivin, anti-p53, and anti-c-Myc antibodies. The combinedpositive rate for all three antibodies was lower than the positive rate ofanti-survivin antibody alone but superior to individual testing of anti-p53oranti-c-Myc antibodies.Conclusion:1、 In laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma, serum anti-survivinantibody levels are associated with survivin mRNA expression levels.2、 This indicates that anti-survivin antibody may be a biomarker oflaryngeal squamous cell carcinoma. Survivin may play an important role inthe development of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.3、The combined testing of anti-survivin, anti-p53, and anti-c-Mycantibodies may not improve the pre-surgery detection rate of laryngealsquamous cell carcinoma, but these tests remain valuable for themonitoring of the efficacy of surgical treatment.
