The Relationship Between Polycystic Ovary Syndrome And Visfatin And TNF-α And The Clinical Care Of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Objective To prove into the change of visfatin and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) patients and its significance for pathology of PCOS. Do preliminary study to PCOS patients on the treatment of Chinese herbs combined with acupuncture, and to observe changes of visfatin and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) PCOS patients before and after the treatment.Methods1.Collect50cases of PCOS patients as experimental group and48cases of control group, then divide them into two subgroups, including obese (BMI≥25kg/m2) and non-obese (BMI<25kg/m2) according to body mass index(BMI). There were23cases in the obese experimental group,27cases in the non-obese experimental group,20cases in the obese control group, and27cases in the non-obese control group. Take fasting serum, detect serum visfatin by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) and TNF-a with radioimmunoassay (RIA), blood sugar by glucose oxidation enzyme method, insulin by electrochemiluminescence immunoassay method, meanwhile height and body weigh were measured to calculate BMI and the homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance(HOMA-IR).2. It will be divided into treatment group and with the above standard50patients. Each has25patients, and they are comparable. Give Chinese herbs combined with acupuncture treatment to treatment group and diformin tablet to control group. Then observe the improvement of signs and symptoms, the changes of sex hormone、basal body temperature、BMI、WHR and HOMA-IR, and the changes of serum visfatin and TNF-α.Results From the first method, we obtain the result that visfatin、TNF-α level of experimental group were higher than control group(P<0.05). Visfatin was higher in both obese and non-obese experimental group than in non-obese control group and higher in obese experimental group than obese control group; TNF-a was higher in obese and non-obese patients than in the same control group and it was higher in non-obese experimental group than in obese control group (P<0.05). Visfatin and TNF-a level were both correlated with BMI、WHR and HOMA-IR (P<0.05).From the second method, we obtain the result that both cure rate and total effective rate of treatment group are higher than those in the, and the difference have statistical significance(P<0.05). It is higher in treatment group than in control group to improve the signs and symptoms, reduce the level of serum LH、LH/FSH、T、visfatin and TNF-α, and improve the BBT. The difference has statistical significance(P<0.05). Compared BMI and FIN levels between before and after treatment in each group, the difference has statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The rise of visfatin and TNF-α in PCOS patients closely related with IR. Visfatin and TNF-α played an important role in the development of obesity and insulin resistance of PCOS patients. The treatment of Chinese herbs combined with acupuncture can improve the signs and symptoms effectively, and adjust patients’ hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis to recover their normal levels of the hormone. Its curative effect is better than diformin tablet.
